Enable and access the grid
To enable the epics grid beta, you must have the Portfolio > Epics (Beta)system role toggle switched on. This toggle was enabled for all environments as part of version 11.19. If you do not have access, contact your admin.
Once enabled, you can access the new grid in two ways:
- Select the Epics Beta link from the sidebar after accessing a portfolio, solution, or program.
- Select the Epics Beta option from the Items menu in the top navigation bar. This will provide an enterprise view of all epics in your environment, which you can then filter by portfolio, solution, program, and other attributes.
Configure your grid
You can customize your grid to show the columns and filters that matter most to you:
- Select which fields to display from the Columns menu. You can add or remove columns at any time.
- Use filters at the top of the page to narrow down your list of epics by attributes like name, type, owner, state, program, and more.
- When you add more than one filter, AND conditions apply. This means that only epics that meet the criteria of all filters set in your view will be displayed.
- Sort your grid by selecting the up arrow icon ( ) from a column header.
Note: Adding more columns may increase the time it takes to load data.
Edit and manage epics
- Select an epic’s ID or name to open its details panel.
- Create new epics using the Add button.
- Inline editing for popular fields is under consideration.
Share your view
After you've configured your grid, you can share your customized view with others. Select the Share icon in the upper-right corner and then select Copy link. Share the copied URL with another user to view the epics grid with the same settings for columns, filters, and view settings.
Known issues and limitations
The epics grid beta is still under development. Some features are not fully supported yet:
- Not all filters and columns are available for export.
- Some filters may display extra blank spaces.
- Certain columns may not align or resize as expected.
- Deeplinks may not persist all settings, such as column widths or “is not” filter operators for names and IDs.
Share your feedback
Use the Feedback button on the epics grid beta page to share your thoughts. We’ll continue improving the beta experience and prioritize functionality for GA based on your feedback and needs.
