In the Dashboard view, you can see all the sprint-related information:
- Sprint pane with stories, tasks, and defects
- Progress
- Dependencies
- Impediments
- Sprint goal
- Chat
- Objectives
You can switch between the following views:
- Team View shows all work related to the team within the selected sprint.
- My View only shows the work that you own and related to you.
On the Team Room page, you can see the round icons with the photos or initials of each team member. By default, you see the work for the entire team, but you can click the picture of your team mates and see only their work. On the toolbar, a message appears “Filtered by {User}” so that you can see the current filter.
The central Sprint pane includes any activity performed on any of the user stories. You can switch between the stories and defects (1 on the image) as well as time charts (only in My View). Point to the progress bars to display the progress information (2). Click the arrow next to the story's ID (3) to expand the story and view its tasks and status. You can also add tasks inline here (4). Use the clock icon to report time for the date you completed the work. The time entered is not official until the standup meeting is run (5). You can select the date and enter hours—spent and remaining. To quickly block a story, click the circle next to it (6).
Here, you can also view story details, such as a story owner, estimated hours, spent and remaining hours, a level of value and level of effort, a number of acceptance criteria passed and total (7). Clicking the message icon opens the discussion chat, where you can discuss the story. The Defects column has a few different states: gray means no defects, red means open defects, and green means the story has defects, but they are closed (8).
On the toolbar, you can use the following options:
- Quick Filters. Apply filters of a story state or defect severity.
- Gear. Configure the columns you want to see in the Stories and Defects grids.
- Expand. Expand the Sprint pane to full screen. Use the same option to collapse it.
-
Graph. View the Sprint Status to date graph, which is a combined sprint and project burndown.
The orange Actual Burn (To Do) line reflects the number of hours on tasks that your team has planned for the sprint. As work on these tasks progresses, the line reflects the number of hours remaining to complete. Use the grey Ideal Burn line as a reference for the number of points that your team should burn in order to complete all stories by the end of the sprint.
The Points Complete line reflects the LOE points for stories that are in the Dev Complete, Test Complete, or Accepted statuses. The Points Accepted line reflects the LOE points for stories in the Accepted status.
This graph can be exported as an image to use externally by clicking the icon in the upper-right corner of the graph.
Note: If your team uses points as its estimation method, then only the Points Accepted and Ideal Burn lines will appear on the graph.
The Progress card includes the following sprint statistics:
-
Time Left is based on the number of days left in the sprint, including the current day. The color of the dial changes depending on the amount of time the sprint has left:
- If over 10% of the sprint time remains, the dial will be blue.
- If under 10% of the sprint time remains, the dial will be red.
- If the sprint has ended, the dial will be gray.
-
Sprint Load is calculated as follows:
(Sum of LOE points planned in the sprint) / Average Team Velocity)) * 100 = % sprint load.
Note that this indicator will become active once two sprints have elapsed for a team.- If the Sprint Load is over 100%, the dial will be red.
- If the Sprint Load is between 80% and 100%, the dial will be green
- If the Sprint Load is under 80%, the dial will be blue.
- If no stories have been accepted in the sprint, the dial will be gray.
-
Avg Team Velocity displays the team’s average velocity, used to calculate the Sprint Load value. Average velocity is calculated from the number of points accepted in the last five completed sprints. If the sprint being viewed has an override velocity entered, the value will display as Override Team Velocity.
- Click the velocity value displayed to open the team’s Details panel, focused on the Sprints tab. The team’s velocity will be displayed, and the sprints used to calculate the average will be highlighted.
- Defects show a number of defects closed out of a number of defects in the sprint.
- Tasks show a number of tasks done out of total tasks in the sprint.
- Stories show a number of stories accepted out of a total number of stories.
- Dependencies show a number of dependencies Done out of a total number of To Do dependencies committed in that sprint. Two states are defined as Done for dependencies: No Work Required and Done.
You can view dependencies for the team in this sprint. You can switch between the Your Requests and To Do dependencies:
- Your Requests show all dependencies that are dependent on other teams.
- To Do show all dependencies that other teams request from you.

You can view impediments blocking the team in this sprint. Impediments have two priorities and are marked accordingly:
- High priority is marked with a black up arrow.
- Critical priority is marked with a red exclamation point.

- View List. Open the Impediments grid in a new window.

The team sets sprint goals at the planning meeting when starting a sprint. A sprint goal summarizes the desired outcome of a sprint and its objectives.
When shown, the team chat shows the last 10 chat messages received on any work item involved in the sprint. This includes stories, features, and dependencies. Clicking View More shows the remaining chat messages received on the work items after the start of the sprint. Any chat messages posted before the beginning of the sprint are not shown.
You can add a new message by clicking the plus sign or pressing Enter.
For messages that are specific to the Team Room (not tied to any given work item), a remove icon appears that allows you to delete the message from the thread. You can also select Hide team messages from the gear menu to only view chat related to work items.
The Chat widget in the Team Room will only be accessible between a sprint's Begin and Finish Date.
Here, you can view the objectives the team set for this sprint at the planning meeting.
Point above the objectives card to use the following quick links:
- View List. Open the Objectives grid in a new window.
- Status by Objective. View the objective visualization in the Progress by Objective report.
- Add New. Create a new objective.
