Hot fixes are quick engineering updates contained in a single, cumulative package that address issues in a software product related to specific customer situations. In Jira Align, hot fixes are linked to PIs, and are tracked via epic relationship traces.

A service pack is a patch or update to software, consisting of enhancements and bug fixes, that is sent out periodically to customers from the software provider. In Jira Align, service packs are tied to hot fixes.
