Experience maps are groupings of lean uses cases, which are design use cases tied to personas. Experience maps make it easier to review several lean uses cases that are related. Experience maps are for viewing purposes only—no rating/voting for designs takes place in experience maps.
To add a new experience map, follow these steps:
- Select Portfolio from the left menu bar, and then select Journey Maps under the Manage section; the Experience Maps page displays.
- Click the Create Experience Map button on the top-right of the page; the New Experience Map panel displays.
- Enter a name for the experience map in the Name field.
- Enter a description of the experience map in the Description field.
- Select all personas that are tied to the experience map in the Personas field.
- Click Save. The Use Cases field displays.
- In the Use Cases field, select lean use cases to group into the experience map, and then click the Select button. Repeat as many times as need to select desired use cases to group into the experience map.
- Click Save & Close; the new experience map is added to the grid and the Experience Map section of the Lean UX/UI landing page.
Launching Experience Maps
There are two ways to launch an experience map:
- Click the Launch link from an experience map's Detail panel.
- Click an experience map listed in the Experience Map section of the Lean UX/UI landing page.
Reviewing Experience Maps
- Set the Activity Date Filter in the top-right of the page to capture a specific time range of activity.
- Use the Persona panel, on the far left of the page, to select the target personas, by clicking the persona icons at the bottom of the panel.
- Review the lean use cases and associated steps at the top of the page.
- Review the line graph in the center of the page, which displays the average ratings of the design steps, by persona. Hover over the lines to view data points.
- Review step attachments and notes at the bottom of the page.
