Viewing orphan objects

In the backlog, you can view orphan epics, capabilities, features, and stories. Orphans are grouped by categories according to what is missing for this orphan, for example, no theme or no estimate.

  • Orphan epics: Epics with no theme, estimate, budget, or theme group.
  • Orphan capabilities: Capabilities with no estimate or budget.
  • Orphan features: Features with no theme, estimate, epic, release vehicle, or product.
  • Orphan stories: Stories with no feature or estimate. Orphan stories are also sorted by teams so that you can see which team is responsible for orphans. Then, the team can go to its stories directly from the backlog and update them.

In the backlog, click the Orphan Objects button on the toolbar to view orphans.
